Whether it’s a city centre venue for 700 delegates or an exclusive country house venue for 250 the University of Leeds has the right venue for you.
The main campus only one mile from Leeds rail station offers a host of top quality, value-for-money facilities including tiered lecture theatres, 700 seat auditorium, 2000 sq. mtr of exhibition space, banqueting for up to 500 and almost 2000 bedrooms.
Bretton Hall is ideally situated just one mile from junction 38 on the M1. This 18th century mansion with its stunning marble fireplaces, fine Italian paintings, decorated ceilings and 500 acres of landscaped parkland provides a memorable setting for all kinds of meetings and conferences.
Conference Venues
There are eight self-contained venues, each with their own unique character and all offering the same high level of service expected of a first-class conference centre. Facilities are available throughout the year for non-residential events.
Charles Morris, Lyddon and Ellerslie halls provide campus-based accommodation for conferences. There are also self-contained conference venues for groups from 12-60 delegates. Five off-campus venues, all situated in their own grounds away from the main University campus, provide ideal locations for self-contained events for groups from 12-280. If all the halls are utilised, the University can host events for numbers exceeding 2000.
Service and Standards
Visitors receive a professional yet friendly service and this is, perhaps, the single most important factor in ensuring that groups return time and time again. We have both en-suite and standard single-study bedrooms. All rooms have complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, toiletries and towels. Bedrooms are serviced daily.
Catering
Whatever the requirements, the highest possible standards of food and service will be offered. Our conference banqueting menus have a mouthwatering selection of dishes to suit all budgets. A light buffet lunch is often balanced by a more formal evening meal. It is difficult to resist the homemade cakes and biscuits regularly served during refreshment breaks.
Conference Packages
All-inclusive packages are available for both residential and non-residential events. They include the hire of the main meeting room and syndicate rooms (one per 50 delegates) with basic audio-visual equipment such as flip charts, overhead projectors, 35mm slide projector and screens.
