Cober Hill provides a centre for residential courses and conferences, and holidays for individual guests and families.
Situated on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, a short drive from Scarborough centre and only 14 miles south of Whitby, on a wonderful stretch of the Heritage Coast overlooking the North Sea. Cober Hill is an ideal location for those wishing to spend their holidays out and about discovering the delights of Whitby, Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay and the many other seaside locations nearby.
Whether you come alone or in a family group, Cober Hill offers you an enjoyable holiday in a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere. Those looking for the chance to unwind will find the quiet gardens and comfortable surroundings provide the perfect setting. Alternatively, guests may choose to take advantage of the many activities available at Cober Hill, including croquet, bowls, putting, skittles and table tennis to name but a few. Our Summer Holiday Season also includes an optional entertainment programme for both indoors and outdoors.
Conference
Cober Hill is the ideal venue for training days or board and committee meetings. Out of town to ensure peace and quiet, the setting is perfect for maximum concentration for those hard-working days, yet balanced by the leisurely evenings.
DAY CONFERENCES
Specialising in seminars and training courses for between 4 and 50 delegates, in a choice of well appointed meeting rooms, but with the ability to accommodate larger conferences of up to 100 in either of the conference halls.
RESIDENTIAL CONFERENCES
Catering for groups of varying sizes for midweek and weekend conferences, with up to 63 en-suite bedrooms available, all groups are allocated their own conference co-ordinator to assist with the planning, organisation and set up of the visit.
Presentation equipment is available upon request for all conferences; overhead projector, white board, flip chart, lecturn, microphone, TV and video, plus a range of secretarial support services at an additional charge.
Meals and refreshments are available, from tea, coffee and biscuits, breakfast, buffet and packed lunches, through to a three course lunch or even five course evening dinner.
To give delegates a break from work, Cober Hill's grounds offer the opportunity for team building sessions, or more leisurely recreational pursuits including tennis, bowls and croquet. A choice of additional corporate activities can be organised as part of the overall conference package.
Car parking is available for up to 70 cars, and is also suitable for coaches, with closed circuit television system covering both car parks. Cober Hill also has its own minibus available for hire of parties of up to 16.
